The DIN 11864-1 Form A range is designed for high-purity detachable connections in pharmaceutical, biotechnology and food-processing applications.
It meets the requirements of WFI loops, PW water, USP water, API products and processes requiring clean-in-place (CIP/SIP) and sterilise-in-place (SIP) connections.
An uncompromising connection
The DIN 11864-1 Form A flange is based on a simple, robust principle: mechanical support is provided by metal-to-metal contact, while sealing is provided by an O-ring seated in a machined groove.
The two functions are kept separate.
There is no wear from crushing or shearing, no progressive creep and no loss of sealing over time.
The O-ring is available in the material suited to the process fluid:
- EPDM
- FKM
- VMQ (PTFE-coated silicone)
- Gylon
It is the benchmark solution for high-purity networks running repeated CIP/SIP cycles.

Available dimensional series
Available in series A, B and C according to DIN 11866, covering European sanitary, ISO/DIN and Imperial ODs.
Surface finishes
Standard finish Ra≤ 0.80 µm.
Electropolished finish down to Ra ≤ 0.25µm available.
