NovAseptic® Mixers

 

The Merck NovAseptic magnetic mixer range meets the technical need to mix the ultrapure fluids found in sterile tanks, with no risk of contamination.

 

The principle is to have no wall penetration at all. A magnetic, and therefore contactless, coupling links an external drive to an impeller located inside the tank.

 

This technology has been developed and refined by NovAseptic for over 30 years.

 

The reputation of this range is confirmed by the number of systems installed at pharmaceutical, cosmetic and food-processing sites.

 

This equipment is manufactured in France and Sweden.

 

The NovaSeptic brand belongs to the Merck group.

 

MERCK NovAseptic® Magnetic Mixers: what a complete assembly consists of

 

It is a modular system made up of four elements:

 

A tank flange: this is the element that supports the mixing in the tank. This flange can be welded, or removable from the top or from the bottom, depending on the option chosen.

 

A complete drive (Drive Unit): this includes an AC or DC motor, a gear motor, a magnetic coupling core and a connection flange.

 

The impeller: this is the rotating propeller inside the tank.

 

The male bearing: this is the hub that holds the impeller in the tank. It can be ceramic (Ssic), Zirconium, or diamond-coated (UNCD).

For metal parts: 3.1 certificate with 2.2 for roughness and electropolishing

 

Standard: 316L 1.4435 BN2 Ra<0.38µm electropolished

For seals: FDA and USP Class VI certificate

 

For gaskets: FDA, USP, ADI Free, TSE/BSE certificate

 

Available options: ATEX, CFD simulation, special designs, pre-validation in a test tank.

 

The GMP range is designed for keeping products in solution, liquid/liquid mixing, temperature maintenance and incorporating easily miscible powders. It combines high flow with low shear, making it ideally suited to sensitive products.

It combines high flow with low shear.

 

This range is also suitable for sensitive products.

 

Its maximum rotation speed is 450 rpm.
