NovAseptic® Mixers
The Merck NovAseptic magnetic mixer range meets the technical need to mix ultrapure fluids in sterile tanks, with no risk of contamination.
The principle is to have no wall penetration. A magnetic, and therefore contactless, coupling links an external drive to an impeller inside the tank.
This technology has been developed and refined by NovAseptic for more than 30 years.
The reputation of this range is confirmed by the number of systems installed at pharmaceutical, cosmetics and food processing sites.
This equipment is manufactured in France and Sweden.
The NovaSeptic brand belongs to the Merck group.
MERCK NovAseptic® Magnetic Mixers: what a complete assembly includes
It is a modular system made up of four elements:
A tank flange: this is the element that supports the mixer in the tank. This flange can be welded, or removable from the top or from the bottom, depending on the option chosen.
A complete drive (Drive Unit): this includes an AC or DC motor, a gear motor, a magnetic coupling core and a connection flange.
The impeller: this is the rotating propeller inside the tank.
The male bearing: this is the hub holding the impeller in the tank. It can be made of ceramic (Ssic), Zirconium, or diamond-coated (UNCD).
MERCK NovAseptic® Magnetic Mixers: certificates and technical standards
All product-contact elements are traceable:
For metal parts: 3.1 certificate with 2.2 for roughness and electropolishing
As standard 316L 1.4435 BN2 Ra<0.38µm electropolished
But also available in Duplex and Super Austenitic grades
For seals: FDA and USP Class VI certificate
For gaskets: FDA, USP, ADI Free, TSE/BSE certificate
Available options: ATEX, CFD simulation, special designs, pre-validation in a test tank.
The Novaseptic HS mixer range
The HS (High Shear) range is ideal for mixing powders, producing emulsions and processing products that are very difficult to dissolve.
It creates a deep vortex and delivers maximum shear thanks to its rotor/stator system and a maximum rotation speed of 3,500 rpm.
Perfect for substances that tend to flocculate on the surface or form agglomerates.
