What it is for
An old pipe penetration that needs to be cleanly sealed. A tapping removed from a tank. An opening behind which a domed sleeve would not fit. In all these cases, the Pipetite® Standard is not suitable: you need a flat plate that blanks the opening, with the hygienic sealing expected in a process area.
The Pipetite® Flat is that plate. Flat silicone crimped onto a 316L stainless steel flange, it blanks the opening using the same self-sealing lips as the rest of the range. No mastic, no silicone bead to redo over time.
Its low-profile configuration, D = 10 mm, allows installation on double-walled tanks and in all configurations where the space behind the wall is restricted. Four sizes cover openings from 0-25 to 0-135 mm.

Flat or Standard?
Flat for blanking an opening with no pipe, or when the space behind the wall does not allow a dome. Standard when there is a pipe to pass through.
Can a Flat be used on a double-walled tank?
Yes, this is one of its typical uses. Its low profile, D = 10 mm, allows installation where a domed sleeve would not fit in the space between the walls.
Is mastic needed to complete the seal?
No. The self-sealing lips provide the seal on their own, as on the rest of the range.
